What We Collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, your message, and any photos or descriptions of items you want plated. If you reach us through WhatsApp or text message, we receive your phone number and the content you send. We also use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, buttons clicked, and general device and location information — and an error-tracking service (Sentry) that records technical details when something on the site breaks.

How We Use It

We use your information for one purpose: running our plating business. That means responding to your quote requests and questions, assessing your items from the photos you send, scheduling and performing plating services, arranging return shipping, and following up on active jobs. Analytics data helps us improve the site; error data helps us fix it when it fails.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Your photos and project details stay between you and our team.

Third-Party Processors

Like most websites, we rely on a small number of service providers to operate: a hosting provider that serves this site and stores form submissions, PostHog for product analytics, and Sentry for error tracking. Each processes data only on our behalf and under its own contractual and security obligations. We share only what each service needs to do its job.

How Long We Keep It

Quote and contact submissions are kept for as long as needed to serve you and maintain reasonable business records — typically the life of the customer relationship plus any period required for accounting or legal purposes. Analytics and error data are retained on the schedules of those services and are periodically purged.

Your Rights

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@goldplating.us with your request and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe. Deleting your data won't affect any plating work already agreed or completed, but it will remove you from our records going forward.

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
