Our Story
Gold Plating US is the gold plating division of Pacific Intelligence, operating a controlled plating laboratory in Vista, California, in the heart of North County San Diego. We didn't start as a storefront that added plating on the side — the lab was purpose-built for electrochemistry, with regulated power supplies, maintained bath chemistry, and a documented process for every item that comes through the door.
The Gap We Fill
If you've shopped for gold plating before, you've probably found two extremes. On one end are hobby operations: a garage, a beaker, and results that vary from batch to batch. On the other are enterprise plating houses that only answer the phone for aerospace primes with six-figure contracts. Between them sits almost nobody — and that's exactly where we built our lab. Jewelers, engineers, collectors, and manufacturers all get the same thing here: scientific-grade process control at a scale and price that's actually accessible.
Who's Behind the Tank
Our team's background is in scientific and pharmaceutical plating, where a finish isn't judged by how shiny it looks but by whether it meets a written specification. That discipline carries into everything we plate. Bath composition is monitored, current density is controlled rather than guessed, and thickness is verified before anything leaves the lab. When a client hands us an heirloom watch or a tray of electrode components, both get the same documented treatment.
Volume and Speed, Without Compromise
Two commitments define how we operate. First, volume: production runs and bulk orders are our normal workload, not a special request, so manufacturing clients get scheduled capacity and repeatable results across hundreds of parts. Second, speed: most jobs are completed in days, not the weeks that are standard elsewhere, and rush service is available when a deadline is on the line. Turnaround is confirmed with your quote, so there are no surprises.
Where We Work
From Vista we serve all of Southern California — San Diego County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and up to Los Angeles. Local clients are welcome to drop items off in person during business hours; everyone else ships to the lab and receives their pieces back fully insured.
